Otium Wine Estate

Otium Wine Estate is a family-owned vineyard near Alton in the South Downs National Park. We planted 20 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in 2021 with a focus on producing premium English still and traditional method sparkling wines.

 

Our first wines are being released this summer, with the opening of our new tasting room planned for early next year.  We already welcome guests to stay at the vineyard in self-catered cottages and plan to offer fine dining in the new tasting room.

 

The name Otium reflects our belief that exceptional wine is one of life's greatest rewards, a moment to pause and enjoy the fruits of hard work. We're delighted to be joining Vineyards of Hampshire and look forward to contributing to the promotion of Hampshire as one of England's leading wine regions.
